For a while now, you’ve been more and more concerned about your health, your family’s health, and your future in this world that seems to get crazier by the day. You want to do what’s good for your family, what’s good for this earth, and you definitely want to get away from the economic uncertainty and ecological abuses of global supply chains and big business.
You want to be local, grounded, nourished where you are. You want to invest back into the community where you live, back into the soil your feet touch.
Maybe you didn’t know it til now, but…
you want a cow.
The rich, bioavailable nutrition of pure, fresh, raw milk.
Manure to compost into thriving garden beds and lovely flower borders.
The ultimate in self-sufficiency and health by nutrition.
But how?
You have a busy life, a job that doesn’t accommodate milking schedules and rotating pastures. A house and a yard that aren’t built for livestock. You’ve never had a cow, and how would you even go about getting into that whole situation in the first place?!
We’ve got you.
A few years ago, that was us. When the opportunity arose to buy a young jersey cow, about to give birth to her second calf, we couldn’t pass it up. We have grown and learned so much, and now we can’t imagine going back to commercial milk, and can’t wait to share this with you.
Our farmstead is small and personal, local and family run. Sunday, the cow, enjoys grazing our fields and resting in the shade of oak trees. She is brushed and sung to, petted and hand fed.
Her milk has that classic Jersey richness with a thick creamline that will only grow as her calf weans, and the extraordinary digestibility of her A2A2 genetics.
Joining our cowshare program will give you and your family a personal connection to this amazing animal, a real part in her welfare and upkeep, a full share of her enriching manure for your garden or flowers, and, best of all, the priceless dividends of her delicious liquid gold - fresh, raw, whole milk.
Come join us and be a part of something special at
CricketSong Acres Cowshare.
Sunday is a 4 year old registered jersey with the coveted A2A2 genes. She is a tolerant & attentive mother, a gentle & cooperative milker, and an intelligent & affectionate farm companion.
